Major Roles and Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound inquiries generated by website content and marketing campaigns
- Process incoming orders and quotation requests for new and established customers including coordination with both Production and Shipping teams to ensure order fulfillment
- Initiate and track customer complaint logs and bring together necessary Subject Matter Experts to resolve issues while maintaining customer relationships
- Serve as point of contact with distributors
- Bridging the customers and production team to provide customers with technical information and/or tools; work on customers’ troubleshooting and/or complaints with a technical issue
- Meet with prospects and customers at networking events, conferences, and site meetings
- Assist sales & marketing in gathering intelligence on accounts, prospective buyers using online research tools
- Work together with the Business Development team to ensure all possible actions are done in order to secure business in competitive situations
- Participate in regular Sales meetings
- Assist with promotion and execution of company events
Qualifications
- BS or MS in life science, with preferred experience in primary cells/stem cell research, especially in a drug discovery setting
- 1-2 years of experience in a life science laboratory. Previous Sales experience or any customer-facing experience is preferred but not required
- Experience with strategic sales skills with proven ability to develop and grow key accounts is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and persuasive communications abilities in both sales and scientific settings
- Strong organizing skills and ability of tracking multiple projects
